Celtics vs. Bulls

So after a hard fought battle Jared's team won again today. He did an awesome job with rebounds and made 2 shots. One last game to go and we have our Saturday mornings free for a few weeks, then we're on to Soccer.

Basketball

Well, our winning streak is over, but Jared continues to learn and is doing awesome on rebounds!

Judo

Jared continues to practice Judo every Saturday. It helps him get rid of some of the excess energy he has. He also gets to be a leader as he is the highest ranking belt in this session. So, all in all it's really good for him to go!

Cardinals

We seem to have a lot of male cardinals out back lately, or is that we can see them much more clearly when it's snowing out?

Sydney's award's ceremony

Tonight was Sydney's last class for this session in gymnastics. She's still at a Level 4 but she is really improving on the beam. She's actually gaining some confidence. It's pretty cool to see.

Swoose's?? Sweese? Gwans???

Today we went to Geist Park where we saw what we believe to be a couple of Embden Geese, a White Chinese goose and a Greylag Goose maybe? or as the kids wanted to call them "Swoose's" (Swan Goose). They were really noisy, didn't make a pretty sound at all.

Celtics Win!

Wahoo - we won this week by the skin of our teeth 16-14. The other team made a last second shot that was awesome, if they had played like that all game we would have been toast. Jared actually made 3 baskets - I'm a proud mama - and made a bunch of rebounds. He's improving with every game.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

So I wanted to take pictures of our valentine's day, but Sydney was in her birthday suit, so no pictures. But we hope you have a great valentine's day.

Sydney's Valentine's Day party

I went to Sydney's classroom to help with the valentine's day party and the class got to pin the arrow on the heart, decorate a cookie and give out valentine's.

Jared's Valentine's Day Party

Jeff and I went to Jared's classroom to help with the Valentine's Day party. The kids seemed to have a lot of fun eating donuts and giving out valentines.

Park Trip

Today the sun was shining and it felt pretty warm outside, so we thought we would go to the park and check out the creek. Well it ended up being pretty cold and the creek was running really fast and was covering the walkway.

The kids still had fun playing hide and seek with Jeff though.

So it has warmed up enough to melt all the snow and bring in a ton of rain. The kids got home from school and saw all the puddles and couldn't resist going out there and splashing around.

They didn't stay out long as the wind was really howling and the clouds were coming back. And lastly, check out Jeff's style - Yeah baby! (haha)

So Jared's team won their game again this week 20-14! Wahoo. We're rolling now!

More Snow!

We got about 4 inches of snow in a short amount of time this morning and there were some horrible accidents on the interstates. It makes me very thankful that we are all safe.

That being said I couldn't resist taking the kids to see Jeff at the Firehouse so that they could sled down the hill there. The kids also went to the dentist today and neither of them have cavities! Wahoo! That deserves a sledding trip, right.

Goodbye snow

So we had a high if 42 today and all the snow did a big time melt. The kids and Jeff decided to make a snowman before it was all gone. Here are the results:
