Oct. 31 - Halloween

Jared went as a Cool Ghoul and Syd went as Vamptessa this year. There was a beautiful sunset and almost a full moon out tonight so I got to enjoy a walk around the neighborhood while the kids made out like bandits and brought home a ton of candy.
Here are a couple of our favorite houses that were really well decorated. This is for Jeffery, who still loves Peanuts.

Oct.30 - Pre-Halloween

HAPPY PRE-HALLOWEEN
Jeff has to be on shift tomorrow so we thought we would do some Halloween stuff tonight. We had Halloweenies and Maggots in cream sauce for dinner. For dessert we made a graveyard. We had worms and mud and headstones and all kinds of ooey gooey stuff in a brownie!

Oct. 29 - Pumpkin Carving

After Jeff took his 15 minutes, Sydney asked him to carve a pumpkin with her. If you know Jeff at all you know that didn't take much persuasion.

Oct 29 - Sydney's Classroom Fall Party

Today, Jeff and I attended (Volunteered to help in) Sydney's Class Fall Party. Syd decorated a mini pumpkin, that she later brought home, decorated and ate a cupcake and had Apple Cider, played a couple of games and got to bring candy home. She seemed to have fun, Jeff came home and took a nap (LOL).

Oct. 28 - Party for the Champions

Tonight the boys (and Syd) got to go to That Fun Place for a party to celebrate their wonderful season. One of the parents paid for the whole thing and it was extremely generous of them. The boys had a blast on Bumper cars, Black Light Laser Tag, Arcade Games, Black light Golf, Roller Coasters and the list goes on and on, they barely stopped long enough to eat the Pizza and Cake. Sydney was able to hangout with the sisters of the football team and they had a blast too.

Oct. 27 - Sydney Cheering

Sydney cheered for the championship game tonight and she did an absolutely awesome job. She gave it her all in the rain and cold. She even got to do the halftime show in the middle of the field it was really cool to watch the girls be so excited to be on the "big" field.

Oct.27 - Jared's Championship Game

We WON! Wahoo...GO Green, GO Green!
Even though it was really cold and it rained the entire game, they won the game. Last year we made it to the championship game and lost by a point, this year we won. We have had two years on great teams, hopefully it will be the same next year! When coach gave Jared his trophy and chain he called Jared "The mad man". So I guess I should introduce him as Jared "The mad man" Wayne.I wish I had taken better pictures, but emotions were over running any and all brain cells, so the pictures suffered. Here are a couple of pictures of Jared causing a fumble.

Oct.27 - Our kids

I just wanted to take a moment to brag about our kids.
They are such good kids, sure they fight and bicker with each other but what normal brother and sister wouldn't and we occasionally roll our eyes at them.
The only thing better than knowing you have good kids is when someone else tells you, you do. The kids brought home their report cards today and they are both on the honor roll and their teachers couldn't be happier with them. We couldn't be prouder.
GO JARED AND SYDNEY!

Oct. 24 - Syd Cheerleading

Sydney actually cheered for Jared's team today. It was so much easier having them both on the same field. Syd has turned into an awesome cheerleader!

Oct. 24, Jared's Playoff Game

Today Jared played the Black team to secure their spot in the championship. The Black team did an awesome job in the cold, muddy field but we ended up with the win. Wahoo - championships here we come! The boys started out clean and ended up looking like this. It was fun getting him in the car!
Here is one of Jared's tackles.

Oct. 22 - Sydney Cheering

So it was cold and wet out at the Football field but the game was on so the cheerleaders cheered. I however seemed to have forgotten how to take a photograph. Here is Sydney cheering, it's blurry, but Syd was doing her thang!

Oct.22 - Fall Break

Because we have to stay around town for Cheer and Football, we decided to take the kids up to Stonycreek Farms for a Fall-like outing. Both the kids are feeling much better and they had a blast doing activities that they had to offer. I think their favorite was the Jumping Pillow, followed by the Stack of Hay bales to climb and jump off of, then maybe the Pedal Cars, I think Jeff enjoyed the Pedal cars the most. It was a lot of fun until we realized we had to leave to get to Football so that Syd could Cheer.

Oct. 20 Football Practice

The kids spent another day at home but we wanted Jared to go to football as it is his last practice for this season. His team ended the regular season at the top of the heap and undefeated - GO GREEN! So we have a play-off game on Saturday and if we win that one, it's on to the championship game! Jared managed to get through practice and it ended up that Jared getting out there and sweating helped break whatever was going on with him, on the down side Syd has a horrible cough that has settled into her lungs! But we still enjoyed a beautiful sunset from the field!

Oct.19 - Fall Hike at Ft. Ben

So another day at home for the kids. They cannot seem to shake having a fever overnight, so no school for them. To try something different we thought we would go to Ft. Ben and enjoy the fresh air and the sights and sounds of the outdoors, see if that helps them feel better. It was beautiful out and the kids had fun skipping stones in the creek, looking at the beautiful colors and enjoying each others company. The kids did great for the first hour but started feeling punk after that, so the wonderful Dad that Jeff is, gave the kids piggy back and shoulder rides back to the car. (who knows how much longer he'll be able to do that!) Gotta love a guy that can lift 80lbs up on his shoulders!

Oct. 18 - Lizzy and the Squirrel

Lizzy loves to chase squirrels, usually she loses sight of them when they run up the trees.Today was different, she actually watched it run up the tree and stood there barking at it until Jeff managed to get her inside. Weird what turns out to be interesting when you are stuck inside with kids who aren't feeling great!

Oct. 17 - Sick day at home making Jack-o-Lanterns

Today the kids were at home with fevers, so no school for them. They seemed to have some energy after getting their fevers down so they decided that they wanted to carve their pumpkins. They did a pretty good job.

Oct. 12 - Tomb of Doom

We spent the evening at the Tomb of Doom. It was a kid friendly Halloween haunted house and it was pretty good. Kids didn't get too scared. There was one part that scared Syd where the guy kept telling her he liked her bones and asked if he could have them. Jeff even got a kick out of it when he was staring one of the 'actors' in the face trying to decide if it was real or not when the guy jumped at him - hilarious! Anyway no photography allowed - bummer.

Oct. 11 - Lark Ranch Corn Maze and Pumpkin patch

We also went through the corn maze and let the kids lead (mostly). They did a good job and we lived to see another day. We also took a hayride (if the trailer had no hay for us to sit on is it still considered a hay ride?) to the pumpkin patch. We let the kids choose there own pumpkins and they did a great job.
