Sept.29 - Jared's Football Practice

Tonight Jared's football coach did something special for the boys. He brought a TV out to the football fields and let the boys watch some of their football games. He used it to teach the boys as well as give the a break for the same old stuff. Smart man!

Sept. 28 - Soaking up the fall weather

Today after school we went outside just to be outside. Lizzy came out with us and soaked up the sun. The kids rode their bikes and played with the football. We also watched the leaves get blown across the street. It was a good afternoon.

Sept. 26 - Sydney Cheers for Red and Black

Today Sydney cheered for the Red and the Black team. They did a good job cheering them on. At one point they almost got run over by the footballers, but everyone survived regardless of how much screaming went on.Here is a picture of the girls "Squeezing the orange" from the Banana Salute cheer.

Sept. 26 - Jared's Football Game

Grandpa Willie and Grandma Georgie came to watch Jared play his game today. It was great to see them. Jared's team won again today. We seem to be on a hot streak, we just hope it lasts. Here's a picture of Jared making one of many tackles.

Sept 25 - Bounce-U

We took the kids to Bounce-U after school for doing so well at school. This was their favorite bouncer. The thing went all the way to the roof and they could either slide down or fall down through the elastic. This one was my favorite. I just loved how much they laughed while trying to punch each other.

Sept 25 - Skatetime

At the kids school they are having skate time during P.E. The kids for the most part skate pretty well. They were all really disappointed to know that, for Syd's class, today was the last day for skating.

Sept 23 - Sydney Cheered for the White and Gold team

We had an evening game to attend tonight. Sydney cheered on one field and Jared played football on another field. Jeff and I split up and we each watched half of the kids games. I think Sydney really likes a cheer that I believe is called 'Banana Salute'. Here's a picture of her when they get to squeezing the orange.

Sept 23 - Jared's Football Game

Jared's football game tonight went pretty well. Our team WON! Wahoo. Hopefully I haven't jinxed the team by being excited. Jared's still on his tackles and blocks and he's doing awesome. We have some truly talented boys on our team. Here is a picture of Jared after he tackled the Running Back.

Sept. 22

Tonight football practice was cut short due to a storm that blew in. By the time we got back to the house the storm was over and there was a beautiful rainbow over the house. We decided to stay outside. We watched the rainbow fizzle,and Jared ride his motorbike through the rain puddles.

Sept 19 - Football Game

Green Teams wins! Wahoo. Jared's team is doing an awesome job. Hopefully they will continue to as we have 5 more games to go. Jared made some awesome tackles causing some fumble recoveries (did I say that right? He knocked the ball out of the quarterback or running backs hands and our team retrieved it!??) We are proud of how well he's playing.

Sept 19 - Cheer

"Everybody do the Marauder Rumble, everybody do the Marauder Rumble, Marauders Rumble...."

Sydney cheered her second game today. She's doing a great job and I think she likes cheering for the football players. Hmmmmm....I guess she's growing up faster than we thought!

Sept 18

Today we decided to have a camp fire and roast hot dogs and marshmallows. It was fun to do something a little different and it all tasted good.

Sept 17 - Sunset

Tonight the sunset came at 7:43. We're quickly losing the sun at football/cheer practice, but they keep on doing it anyway!

Sept 17 - Football practice

Jared's team got to scrimmage the Gold team tonight at practice and he's still getting his tackles in and getting his guys blocked.

Sept 17 - Cheer Practice

Tonight we started off with Syd at Cheer practice. She learned a couple of new cheers and she's still having fun!

Sept 15 - Football and Sunsets

Jared had football practice tonight and he's doing a really good job listening to his coach and he's improving every time we watch him. The sky was really beautiful tonight. Full of reds and purples.

Sept 14 - Tuttle's Orchard

Today we went to Tuttle's Orchard to pick apples while they are still in season. The kids always like to see if they can find the most perfect apple, or is it that they get to eat an apple while they wonder through the orchard finding ripe apples? Anyway, we picked A LOT of apples and so far we have made an Apple Pie and an Apple Dumpling Cake. Hoping to make apple butter next.

While we were there we visited their little petting zoo that had a couple of pygmy goat and an alpaca. We think that Jeff and the Alpaca had a little thing going. After picking the apples and playing with the animals we went to the store and the kids tried an Apple Cider Slushy. They seemed to like it.

Sept 12 - Last pool time

It was actually warm enough tonight for the kids to play in the pool one last time before we put it up for the fall. The kids had a lot of fun in the pool this summer and we have a lot of fun memories of them using it!

Sept.12 - Jared's 1st Football game of the season

Jared played his first football game for this season. His green team won their game . GO Green. Jared did some awesome blocking and made some great tackles.

Sept 12 - Sydney Cheers her 1st Game

Sydney cheered her first game this morning and she did a great job. She remembered all of her cheers and wasn't afraid to be in front of all the football players and their parents, and she was having fun. GO Sydney!

Sept 11 - Fall Already?

Can you believe that they leaves are already falling off the trees and fall is less than 2 weeks away! Jared took a turn at raking up some of the leaves for us. He did a great job!

Sept 10 - Football

Jared got his football jersey tonight. He's #40 on the green team. I think he looks very handsome in green.

Sept 8 - Cheer Practice

Tonight Sydney got her Pom-poms for cheer. She was very excited until the coach told her that she couldn't take them home, that the coach would bring them to practice and the games. Bummer!

Sept 8 - Football Practice

Tonight we are once again sitting watching Jared at Football practice. He does such a good job listening and getting his job done. We are very proud of him!

Sept 3 - Cheer Practice

Sydney practiced her cheers tonight. She was supposed to get her uniform and Pom-poms tonight but they hadn't come in yet so that kinda bummed her out. She did a good job on her cheers anyway.

Sept. 3 - Football Practice

Tonight was another night for football practice. The boys ran their drills and then scrimmaged another team. The team is starting to look good. There are some really fast boys, some good blockers a good QB on the team. I guess we'll see how well they do on their first game next week.

September 1 - Football Practice

Jared's off to a great start at football. So far he's the Right Guard on Offense and Middle Line Backer on Defense. As far as I can tell he's an awesome football player, but I am his mom and I don't know a lot about football so I may be a little biased. Anyway...GO Jared!

They did their first scrimmage as a team tonight and I know he kept his man away from the QB and tackled the QB and Running Backs from the other team other than that I'll have to have Jeff explain it to me. LOL

Sept. 1 - Cheer Practice

Cheer practice is moving along. The girls are beginning to remember the cheers and the moves that go along with them. Still have to work on the energy a little bit and how loud they are, but they'll get there.
