First Drive-In movie - 7-1-2010

We took the kids to their first Drive-In movie experience tonight.
There was a beautiful sunset on the way there.

Jeff took the kids to the concession stand to have some Drive-In food. It wasn't bad but it was still Drive-In food.

 Then the kids played a little bit of soccer in the empty spots before finding their spots in the back of the car.

The skies were just beautifully speckled with stars, not something we see here in the suburbs. Jared and I actually saw a shooting star! It was a little chilly for us old folks sitting in lawn chairs outside the car but we got through it.

 I'll give you 3 guesses as to the movie we saw and the first 2 don't count.....

Twilight Eclipse!

We were a little skeptical about letting the kids watch it, but it actually had a good message in all the vampire, werewolf and love story stuff. 

All in all a good experience and the kids actually want to do it again. 

Playing at Holliday Park - July 1st, 2010

The kids also enjoyed playing on the play equipment. Jared enjoyed climing the most while Sydney enjoyed the slides.



Holliday Park Hike - July 1st, 2010

While we were at the park we went on a hike down to the creek. It had overflowed from all the rain and was really high and muddy, but the kids had fun skimming rocks.

Holliday Park Flowers - July 1st, 2010

We went to Holliday Park this afternoon and saw some really pretty flowers and some insects to go with it (uck) but still pretty.
