Balloon Glow

So after seeing the Ultralights and going up in the Hot Air Balloon, we set up to watch the Balloon Glow. We saw some balloons light up, saw about 8 get blown up but never saw them all lined up and glowing together. I thought that would have been cool. But it was cool (or tight as Jared would say) to them light up at night.

Beautiful Sunset

Hot Air Ballon ride

For the evening we decided to go and see something called the Balloon Glow at the Air Show. We got the air grounds and Jeffery asked where they were setting up the balloons and they also told him that they were doing free tethered Hot Air Balloon rides for children and veterans in the Riley Hot Air Balloon. So off we went to find the Riley Balloon. We were able to send 1 adult up with the kids so I nominated Jeffery. It seemed like they had a blast, they only went up about 50 feet but it seemed like a wonderful experience.

Ultralights

When we first got to the Air Field the Ultralights were out flying around and they were landing almost right in front of us. They were pretty cool to watch, especially with the sun setting.

St. Simon Festival

So we decided to bite the bullet and take the kids the the festival as it is almost in our front yard. The kids tried some new rides this year, got a little more adventurous. The kids first tried the Swings. Which the kids seemed to enjoy, nothing too scary or exciting. The second ride was The Wild Thing slide. Seemed to go over without a hitch. Third was the Sizzler. Sydney begged Jared to go with her and he finally gave in and had a blast. Sydney's last ride was the Carousel, for old times sake. She, however is now less than thrilled with the simply going around in circles and up and down. She feels the need, the need for speed! Jared spent the last of his money on a cork gun game and won a ball for his efforts. I think the kids had a good time!

Playing outside

We had a little bit of time between activities today so we went outside to play. We got to enjoy the Jets practicing again and Mama and Papa Robin feeding their little one. The kids spent time riding their Motorcycles and Scooters.
