Jared's 2nd Football Game August 28th, 2010

Jared played in his second football game as #12 on the Gold team this morning against the Black team. The Gold team seems to be working together well and they were able to win the game 7-0.

Jared made some great plays.

Jeff and I had to switch at half time as Sydney was cheering at the same time that Jared was playing so I missed him advancing the ball and him helping make the winning touchdown.

(P.S. - I cannot be held responsible for any information in this entry as I don't really know what I'm talking about. I just listen to what Jared and Jeff tell me and hope I interpret correctly. LOL)

Sydney's 1st time Cheering for JV this Season August 28, 2010

Sydney did and awesome job cheering for the JV teams this morning. Her arms were straight and her voice was loud. Best of all she seemed to be having more fun than she had last year.

Jared's 1st Football Game August 26th, 2010

Jared played his 1st football game with the Gold team tonight against the Lawrence Lions. We weren't/aren't too happy to be back playing some games against a football club that we intentionally left and hopefully it will all work out in the end. It's only 3 games and we only have to travel for 2 of them so hopefully they will go well. The first game wasn't bad, we won 21-12, but there is still some of the behaviours there that we would like our children not to witness. Jared did great, his first time ever carrying the ball and he made us proud.

He's still loves to play defensive tackle though.

Practice night for the Cheerleaders August 24, 2010

Sydney's squad got to use their pom poms for the first time tonight and the girls were very excited. They start cheering for the football teams this weekend and I think they are ready.

First Day of School - August 17th, 2010

So.....the kids are back at school this morning and I miss them! Only 6 more hours and they will be home. I had to fight to get a picture of the kids this morning but I used the "Please, for me." speech and finally got a couple of shots in before I was told "MOM, no MORE Pictures! They are awesome kids and I hope they have an awesome day.

Last day of Summer Vacation - 8-16-2010

It's the last day of summer vacation and what are we doing? Meeting the kids teachers and going to football practice. We're pretty exciting aren't we?

Jeff was helping out at practice tonight I think he enjoyed it, probably reliving his glory days. (lol)

Sydney has a friend she hangs out with when she's not practicing cheer, they usually hang out in the mud, imagine that!

Pool Time - August 13th, 2010

The last days of summer vacation and the kids are still in the pool. I'm glad it's still fun for them. Hopefully our next house will have a pool. Wouldn't that be awesome!
