Superbowl Sunday!

I don't know a lot about football (Jeff has laughed at my "knowledge" many times and he is absolutely right to do it. Know matter how many times I watch a game on TV or watch Jared play and try to absorb what's going on it doesn't sink in...sigh) but I know we were going to cheer our team on anyway.
We started our day by making Blue horseshoe pancakes, then we filled blue and white balloons with blue confetti and drew our favorite players numbers and horseshoes on them. We made them to pop them when our team made 'touchdowns' or is it 'goals' or is it both, ugh!!! Anyway.....
Then we went sled on our favorite sledding hill - The Firehouse. Why the favorite - It has a fireman there that this family loves very much :-). The kids had a blast going down the hill, they made a little bump in the hill so that they could get some air on the way down.
After a couple of hours sledding, we went inside and dried off and played ping-pong and then we were invited to help eat some wings that the firefighters had made. The kids loved them!
It was time for the firefighters to throw us out so they could have their space for the game, so we came home. We made our own wings and nachos and settled in to watch the game. To cut a long story short, we still have a lot of our balloons left as the kids weren't interested in popping them after we lost. There is always next year. Maybe I'll understand football more next year. There's always hope!
