Fireworks to end the day

We bought some fireworks to celebrate Sydney turning 8. We thought it was a great end to a wonderful day.

Shopping and Dinner

Sydney had some money to spend so we took her shopping and she bought some more clothes and some more make-up. Then it was dinner time so Syd decided on Outback Steakhouse for her birthday dinner.

More Cake

After the Mani and Pedi we came back home and the kids had some more cake and ice-cream to celebrate with their friends. Then came a bike ride and a visit to the creek and playing in the sprinkler and having some lunch and playing video games......

First Mani and Pedi

Sydney wanted a Manicure and Pedicure at a salon for her birthday. So we made an appointment at the salon close to the house and let her bring her friend, Lyndsey. She was able to choose her nail color, she choose an electric blue! Then she got to sit in a chair that gave her back a massage while she received a foot and leg massage. After they finished her pedicure she went for her manicure. Here are the finished manicures.

Birthday Cake

After opening her presents Syd decided that she would like to have cake and Ice-Cream. So even though it was only 10:30 in the morning we caved, after all it is her birthday. And traditions must be kept, so of course part of the cake found it's way on to her face. Have no clue how that happened!

Happy Birthday Sydney

Sydney turned 8 today. Isn't that amazing, time is just flying. We started the day opening presents. Most of what she wanted was make-up, You should have heard Jeffery on the phone at the store trying to pick out make-up for her - hilarious. But what a wonderful Dad that he would put himself through that torture to ensure that his daughter had presents to open on her birthday!
